This is my go-to spot for a quick breakfast in downtown Oakland. The lines are typically short, they have a buffet of breakfast foods (e.g. eggs, sausage, etc), as well as, lunch foods (e.g. salads), and a quick order cook who can whip you up something from their menu quickly. People typically stop here before going to work.
Food: they have a large variety of breakfast and lunch foods. Breakfast includes the basics - scrambled eggs, 2 types of sausage, bacon, tatter tots, French toast sticks, etc. Lunch includes a large salad bar, sushi, spring rolls, egg rolls, pot stickers, chicken wings, rice, enchiladas, and the list goes on and on.
Service: staff is friendly but you don't have much interaction with them besides paying or moving out of someone's way while they replenish the table with new food. They're quick about processing payment so this is great place for a quick bite.
Price: you pay by the weight of your plate so be sure to pick up a to go box or plate at the front of the Buffett. Simply place your plate on the scale and they'll tell you the cost.
Location: a couple of blocks from BART in Uptown which are where a lot of businesses are located. Parking is tough. I wouldn't drive here but it's a block from work and the walk is pleasant so it's nice to get out.
Overall, I come here every time I'm in Oakland for breakfast or lunch. Large variety of foods plus a quick in and out so you can move onto your next activity! -

The best thing about this place is the location. Next best is the assortment of options. Next best is that they have fresh veggies in salad bar. ....but I sampled a variety of things from the Chinese buffet. The ONLY one I would eat again is the chicken curry.
Nearly $14 for less than a plate of average food. -

Great place to get variety of foods without ordering different foods. A kind of mini Buffett but sold by the weight. Had a variety of different flavors on my plate. Good place to have a little breakfast and lunch at the same time.

Solid but not great. Ive only gonna for breakfast. Nice that it's open early and aside from your normal breakfast options there is a breakfast buffet as well. Not cheap but not too expensive either.

It's OK... The salad bar has a lot of options, only the lettuce/spinach is organic. Nothing special though.
